About
My philosophy is simple: engineering is a means to an end, and that end is product-market fit and revenue. I build high-performance frontend architectures, mobile experiences and developer tooling that directly serve those goals.
I specialize in bridging the gap between product design and resilient architecture. Whether it's taking a raw idea from 0-to-1 or untangling massive technical debt for a scaling startup, I focus on mechanical sympathy: zero dropped frames, fluid gesture response, offline reliability, and clean state management.
Currently, I am looking for opportunities to architect cross-platform systems where speed of execution, extreme product craftsmanship, and real-world business impact are the primary metrics for success.

Leadership & Experience
Proven track record architecting robust mobile systems, enterprise platforms, and high-performance fintech solutions.
Flexr by MacTay — salary-advance app that lets employees withdraw pay they have already earned, before payday.
Led mobile engineering for Flexr. Instead of taking high-interest loans, workers can pull a small advance from wages they have already earned and get it in seconds.
What I did
- Stopped double-charges on bad internet: if someone tapped “withdraw” twice on a weak connection, the app only sent the money once.
- Kept company payroll records exact: pay changes and advance requests are saved safely on the phone and synced later, so the books always balance.
- Made logins one-tap with fingerprint and Face ID, plus extra checks so nobody can tamper with money payouts.
- Added automatic crash alerts so payment bugs get caught and fixed before workers ever notice them.
Why it mattered: Fewer failed payouts and payout disputes — builds trust with workers and with the employers who offer Flexr as a benefit.
Rope Africa — digital business cards you share by tapping phones together.
Built the tap-to-share contact system for Rope Africa — meet someone, tap phones, and your business card is on their phone.
What I did
- Made tap-to-share work on both Android and iPhone, so exchanging contacts just works no matter the phone brand.
- Added backup sharing over Bluetooth and QR code, so people whose phones cannot tap still get the card instantly with no dropped handoff.
- Made cards open in under a second on any mobile browser, even on slower phones.
- When someone updates their card, every saved copy updates automatically — no stale phone numbers or job titles.
Why it mattered: More successful shares at events and meetings — no lost leads just because two phones were incompatible.
Greep — international shopping and delivery app connecting customers, drivers, and stores.
Worked on the shopping and delivery app used by shoppers, drivers, and stores — keeping it fast even during busy flash sales.
What I did
- Stopped the app freezing while loading products: heavy catalog work now happens in the background, so scrolling stays buttery smooth.
- Fixed battery drain and crashes in the driver app that used to kill long delivery shifts — drivers can now stay online all day.
- Hardened checkout so traffic spikes during flash sales do not overload the servers or lose orders.
- Built a live order tracker so customers, drivers, and shops all see where an order is in real time.
Why it mattered: More completed checkouts during peak sales, drivers completing more drops per shift, and fewer “where is my order?” support chats.
CMND.ai — business AI platform that plugs into a company’s existing software to automate customer support and day-to-day work.
Built AI helpers that answer routine customer questions automatically, so human staff only handle the tricky cases.
What I did
- Built an AI support helper that resolved 75% of everyday customer questions on its own, without human staff stepping in.
- Connected customer chats directly to a construction client’s job scheduling and customer records, so a chat enquiry could turn into a booked site visit without staff re-typing everything.
- Added safety checks so AI answers stay accurate, helpful, and on-brand instead of guessing or going off-script.
- Fixed bugs in the shared open-source Xest toolkit so it runs reliably on both Windows and Linux.
Why it mattered: Faster replies, less manual admin, and fewer missed enquiries — the construction team spends time on site work, not copy-pasting chats.
